magazine front covers

 20/06/23

L/O: to identify the features on a magazine front cover: to explore genre codes & conventions

do now

-art and fashion magazines

codes and conventions :
. majority use a contrast of bright colours to match the colour scheme to match what the model is wearing
. some of the more colour full ones have been enhanced or edited
. there is a couple with less text around the main image like vogue meanwhile the others seem to have a bit of text around the model

sub genre

heavy metal , rock , pop, jazz , country, electronic , rap , techno ,  D&B

one thing that can suggest it is pop is the use of bright colours and uses individuals in the main images

entertainment

the colour pallet tends to link with the character or outfits the characters are wearing meanwhile rolling stone links with the masthead so rather red or light colours with a darker background
